Properties of tea tree essential oil
Tea tree essential oil is exclusively produced in Australia and is derived from the leaves of the tea tree plant.
Tea tree oil has a reputation of being a cure-all substance. Although it can be used to cure almost all tropical infections and diseases, it is poisonous when ingested. Caution has to be taken when using this essential oil. It must only be applied topically and it should be kept out of children’s reach.
Tea tree essential oil is antibacterial, anti fungal, antimicrobial, antiseptic and antiviral. It eliminates most viruses, funguses, microbes and bacteria. This cures and prevents infections of the skin, such as athlete’s foot. It also cures and prevents other infections, such as the common cold and measles. It helps wounds heal faster and notably reduces the appearance of scars caused by these wounds.
When rubbed onto the chest and inhaled, tea tree oil can sooth cold related symptoms, such as coughs and congestion.
Tea tree oil can rid the body of toxins by increasing sweating, removing uric acids and excess salts from the body. This sweating also opens pores, preventing the appearance of acne.
